Terms of Service

The short version: we send you data from official sources, you pay if you want the full edition, and either of us can walk away at any time.

Who we are

Postcode Pulse is operated by Productiversed Ltd, registered in England. When we say "we", "us" or "our" in these terms, that is who we mean. Our contact email is hello@postcodepulse.uk.

What you are agreeing to

By signing up to Postcode Pulse (free or paid), you agree to these terms. If you subscribe to Pulse+, the subscription-specific sections below also apply. We have tried to keep this readable. If anything is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

The free edition

Postcode Pulse is a free weekly email digest sent every Thursday. It covers your postcode district using data from publicly available official sources. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. There is no cost and no commitment.

Pulse+ subscription

Pulse+ is the paid monthly deep-dive, delivered on the first Friday of each month. It is available on two plans: 99p per month or £10 per year. Both are billed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method you provide at the interval you selected.

As a Pulse+ subscriber, you continue to receive the free weekly edition every Thursday. One week per month you will receive two emails from us: the Thursday weekly and the Friday deep-dive.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your Pulse+ subscription at any time through the manage subscription page on our website, or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive Pulse+ until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel on day 3 of a monthly cycle, you still have access until the end of that month. For annual subscribers, cancellation takes effect at the end of the 12-month period. If there are exceptional circumstances, email us and we will do our best to help.

What we deliver

Pulse+ editions are sent by email. We do not currently offer a web archive, app, or downloadable format beyond what is included in the email itself. The content, format, and number of sections may change over time as we add new data sources or improve the product. We will not reduce the core offering without letting subscribers know in advance.

Content and data disclaimer

All data in Postcode Pulse and Pulse+ is sourced from official public datasets published by UK government bodies, agencies, and public organisations. We present this data as-is, in good faith, and take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy. However, we are not the publisher of the underlying data and cannot guarantee that it is complete, current, or error-free.

Postcode Pulse is for general information only. It is not professional advice. You should not rely on it as a substitute for legal, financial, property, medical, or any other professional advice. If you need to make a decision based on the topics we cover, such as property values, crime statistics, or school ratings, you should consult the original data sources or seek professional guidance.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from reliance on the content of our emails. This includes, but is not limited to, inaccuracies in property price data, crime figures, school ratings, planning information, or any other dataset we report on.

Intellectual property

The underlying data we use is published under the Open Government Licence and remains the property of the original publishers. Our editorial content, formatting, analysis, commentary, and design are owned by Productiversed Ltd. You are welcome to share individual editions with friends and family, but you may not republish, resell, or redistribute our content commercially without written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Postcode Pulse for any unlawful purpose, to share your Pulse+ subscription credentials with others, or to systematically scrape or extract data from our emails for commercial use. One subscription is for one person. If you would like a team or organisational licence, contact us.

Your data

How we handle your personal data is covered in our privacy policy. In short: we collect your email and postcode, store them in Mailchimp, process payments through Stripe, and never sell your data to anyone.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Productiversed Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Postcode Pulse or Pulse+. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with any changes, you can cancel your subscription and unsubscribe.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
